Pleasantly surprised at how fun this was to actually play.. This is actually alot of fun. Since the trailer doesn't really describe how the VR works, you are sorta hovering over the play field like where the camera would be. It's actually really cool since it looks like a bunch of figurines duking it out. The controls are minorly awkward, it might just be because these type of games should have a game controller rather than 2 seperate controllers. I honestly didn't try it out for long before just using my steam controller instead. The GUI elements also sorta float hover around your character it works really well. The game itself is pretty fun with unlocks and stuff. Plays like the trailer so just take a look at that. This is honestly very worth the buy. It offers something different than the normal VR experience and is quite alot of fun.Pro:*Different than the normal wave shooters associated with VR.*Gameplay itself is fun w\/o relying on just being a VR game*Varity of enemies*Sexy Anime Characters are well done, the theme and art are good.*Alternate armors you can unlock.*Runs really well.Con:*The maps feel like they repeat, not sure if they do actually but It consist of Squares, paths, and the occasional lift.*Only 2 Heroines*Motion controls are kinda awkward as it's just a replacement gamepad.*Sorta a small game (but it's price right for the length)Wishlist:*more Characters*Steam Workship integration*more Customization. The game is good enough that if there was DLC for more Characters I would buy right away or if there was a sequel I would too also buy at full price. This one showed me that Beat em up games should totally be ported to VR and I now I really want Senran Kagura in VR.. I played this on the Oculus Rift with Xbox controller and had zero issues. I'm not sure why the dev put HTC vive only, especially on the June 15th update, which might scare potential buyers away. Maybe the dev wants them to go to the Oculus Store page instead, but if so, that's a pretty short-sighted way to look at things. The game plays almost exactly as the video on the store page. It's an action brawler beat em up with many different powerups on cooldowns. You have to evade and attack at the right times. I would say it comes very close to being a buttom smasher, except you can't just evade when you want and you do have to keep track of your cooldowns. Also, there's lots of enemies you have to prioritize and areas to stay away from because of explosions. There's lots of positives, but also some very big negatives.Positives: + Nice stylized graphics+ Easy to get into gameplay+ Comic book anime story type cutscenes+ lots of unlocks\/customizables+ two different ways to play with both characters+ lots of enemy types and powerups Negatives: - poor level design, i swear each corridor looks almost the same, not much variety (BIG MINUS)- not the best camera movement- VR doesn't really add that much, it starts out great, you can look all around 360, then you start playing and only see in front of you- related to above problems, your motion controllers are worthless, gamepad is betterSale Price Rating 5.5\/10 buy on sale only ($6.59 USD or preferrably less). So in spite of myself, I ended up buying this game, as I was craving third-person action in VR. Despite the... exotic choices made by the developers regarding character models (less delicate version: half-naked anime-esque female protagonist), I actually was quite impressed. It's a VERY mindless hack-and-slash (single button for attack, no real 'combos' to speak of, enemies are dumber than even ___ Warriors grunts), BUT... technically speaking, the game is stupendous. The video uploaded to this channel, I think, is for the 2D version. It doesn't quite communicate how the game looks in VR. Your VR perspective is of the "virtual tabletop" variety, and you basically watch a fully-3D scene of your character running around (with some experimentation, despite it being a static/seated experience, I found that I could actually reposition the "reference orientation" of my Vive, and then move around the play space to make it more like an isometric top-down game). It's unfortunate that the game itself is so technically simple in terms of gameplay mechanics, because everything else is on-point. Graphically, the simple cartoon-y artwork kept the game happily humming at full framerate while still looking great, and the presentation was awesome.Hopefully more (Vive) developers eventually get off the obsession with making EVERYTHING motion-controlled and make games like this (although I'm not holding my breath, this game was released back in 2017). It also doesn't help, after doing some research, that this is a GEAR VR GAME! Seriously, developers, why is no one developing made-for-PC third-person games? The format works! Ditch the Bagel Blasters and make loads of money off Devil May Cry VR and stuff like that!. So in spite of myself, I ended up buying this game, as I was craving third-person action in VR. Ditch the Bagel Blasters and make loads of money off Devil May Cry VR and stuff like that!. It's obvious from the short time i've had with the game, that the team have put an effort in to the vr version of this. The vive controls work perfectly. Movement, special attacks are mapped to the trackpads, basic and combo strikes on both triggers, everything crammed on with a handy on the fly vr reset. The game reminds of a smash tv type, with mele hits instead of guns, enjoyable pick up and play from the start. Seems like there's plenty to be had in the way of progression of the character, xp, armour upgrades, unlocks.I enjoy these types of miniture styled games, this one ranks up there in the fun factor alone with others like blaze rush and final approach, which in VR give you a child like playing with your toys feel, that can't be matched on a normal screen. like the other review rightly points out, it's clear and crisp in it's graphics, and the animations work well.A well worked neat game with everything you expect these days, a welcome edition to the vr space at a decent price.. For mini game is Good
